Our First Blizzard
I'm happy to report that the weatherman was finally right. There is a blizzard, lots of snow, high winds and waves crashing in the lake. It's even supposed to continue snowing until tomorrow. Galen managed to get a snow day on his longest day of class and we have enjoyed having him around all day. Unfortunately, I still have to go to work tonight. When Gavin and Logan woke up this morning we had them look out the window and they were amazed. They actually stared out the window for a good five minutes with big smiles on their faces. Hopefully the winds die down tomorrow so we can take them out to experience the snow.

Sick Babies
We have our first ear infection. Logan spent three hours Saturday night screaming for no real reason. Nothing we did could calm him down and he finally fell asleep from being exhausted. So we went in to Urgant Care yesterday. The doctor had to clean a decent amount of wax out of his ears before she could even get a good look at his ears, which really made him upset. He is on amoxicillin for ten days. Luckily he doesn't seem to mind taking his medicine. Logan had a rough night again last night and we can't wait until he finally feels better.
When we were at the doctor yesterday, she asked if she could listen to Gavin because he was coughing a lot. I told her yes and explained that he had been in the ER on Wednesday night because of his cough and the doctor we had seen said he was fine. After she listened to him she decided that he needed to have an RSV test done. Gavin had to have a nasal swab done and it made him mad. I had to hold him down while he screamed. The test came back negative which is great news.
One of the benifits of going to the doctor yesterday was that Gavin and Logan got weighed. Logan hadn't been weighed since his head appointment in January and Gavin hadn't been since their six month check up in November. They were both weighed with clothes and diapers on so the weights are a little higher than they should be. Logan is 19lbs 4oz and Gavin is 18lbs 14oz. They go in for their nine month check up in two weeks so it will be interested to see their weight without clothes and diapers.
The boys were able to go swimming for the first time on Wednesday night. We stayed at a hotel because the water was shut off at our house. The pool was really cold so we didn't take them in for very long but they seemed to enjoy it. I also brought them to the arcade and they had fun watching the claw machine game.
Our latest project at home was setting up our "baby jail." It was a late Christmas present from Grandma Maxim. Gavin and Logan seem to love it so far. It's nice because we can keep all of their toys in it and I don't feel the need to pick them up every night. Bowser also seems to enjoy baby jail especially if there are Cheerios in there.

Happy 9 Months!
Gavin and Logan are nine months old today! They are quickly growing up and are learning new things every day. This past week they learned how to share food with Bowser. Logan was the first one to discover this fun game. He would take a bite of his cracker, give a bite to Bowser, giggle and then take another bite. Gavin quickly caught on to the game and now both of them offer Bowser bites when they are eating. Of course, Bowser loves every second of this and I'm sure he will be obese within the year.
Both boys are moving around like crazy. They still aren't really crawling but they manage to get from point a to point b. And they are climbing like crazy. They climb on each other which usually ends with one of them in tears. I can't sit by them without them coming over and trying to stand. I feel like a human playground. Last night we set up their baby jail. It's basically colorful fenced in area where we will keep babies (and Bowser) and all of their stuff. And it was an easy way out on the baby proofing for now.
