I realize I've been slacking on the blog updates, I always have good intentions of writing but then something comes up, laundry needs to be folded, the dishes need to be washed or Rylynn needs to be fed. So many things have happened since my last update that I'm not even sure where to start,
Gavin and Logan turned two on May 17th, I'm amazed that two years have gone by I'm the blink of an eye. They have gone from little 35 week old premature babies to healthy, smart, confident, sassy tow year olds. Their birthday party was the topic of discussion for a few weeks, they would talk about candles, blow, cake, people, boxes, and then they would name all of their party guests, papa, Grammy, Sami, Jake, Charlie, Coley and Ozzie.
We had their birthday party at my parents house on the 18th and the boys had so much fun. Uncle Jake was even able to fly home for their party. The boys got a lot of great gifts and had a blast playing with all of the kids. The cupcakes and ice cream cake were a hit too. They even got to play a little toss with Jake, Sami, Charlie and Nicole. It's been almost two weeks since their party and they still are talking about it.
The boys have learned a few things lately. They can both count to three and recognize a few numbers. And their vocabulary has doubled in the past few weeks, new words include, up, down, tall, melon, doggies, nope, Bowsie, clock, chalk, pub, hammer, heavy, measure, look, aunt, uncle, cousin, sad, happy, nice, cute, brother and beer. When they look in the lake for boats or in the neighbors yard for geese they put their hands up over their eyes. Also, they have become quite demanding about eating certain foods, when I go to work they always ask for nugs (chicken nuggets) and fries. They love to be outside and color with chalk, but hate coming inside. Major meltdowns usually happen whenever we have to come inside. Logan has been the king of meltdowns lately, in the past week he has thrown two chairs, a table, shovels, and tried to throw the grill and Bowser. We are working on having him take breaks when he is mad. It doesn't seem to phase Logan at all when he is in trouble. Gavin is still as sweet as can be and does his best to avoid getting in trouble. He gets very upset if he gets in trouble and relies heavily on hugs to make himself feel better.
Gavin and Logan can finally say each others names! When Logan says Gavin it sounds like Gannon (cannon with a G). When Gavin says Logan it sounds like Ogan, And they can both say Rylynn, but it sounds like Ahnin. I'm still impressed by how much they love their little sister. When we have her do tummy time, both boys sit next to her. When she is in her bouncy seat they will bounce the seat. And if she cries they still offer pacis to her. They love to give her hugs and kisses.
Speaking of Rylynn, she will be two months old tomorrow. Seriously, where does the time go? She is holding her head up like a champ and starting to be more and more alert. She is still sleeping pretty will and has slept through the night a couple of times now. And she still has that loud set of lungs on her. Today on our way home she screamed for the entire fifteen minute drive. The boys kept saying "baby loud!"
Our house is slowly but surely coming a long! Thanks to my dad, Galen and my mom, Gavin, Logan and Rylynn's room are completely painted! There is still more painting to be done and we need new carpet. Yesterday we decided at we should replace all of the trim and windows sills in the upstairs. I get a little discourage thinking about how much we still have to do because it feels like we will never get to move in but it's going to be so worth it when we finally do.

Six Weeks
I can't believe that Rylynn is already six weeks old. She has changed so much already! Her cheeks are getting really chubby. At her doctors appointment last week she weighed in at 9lbs 11oz. We just switched her to 0-3 month clothes and size one diapers. She is still sleeping really well, she is always up once to eat, sometimes twice.
Gavin and Logan are so excited that the snow has finally melted. They request to go outside multiple times a day and get very frustrated when they don't get their way. Their new favorite outdoor activity is drawing with chalk on the patio. Occasionally they try to draw on the patio furniture or Bowser. They also really like to swing in the hammock with Galen.
Our house is slowly coming along. We have purchased all of our appliances and they are scheduled to be delivered next Tuesday. Yesterday, we bought new windows for the whole second floor and Sheetrock for the master bedroom and living room. We need to buy carpet and get a few more cans of paint and we should be all set. Our goal is to be moved in by July 1st but we will see!
On Friday we will take our first road trip with al, three kids down to my parents house. Uncle Jake is coming home from California to meet Rylynn and celebrate Gavin and Logan's second birthday. We are so excited!!

Language Explosion
In the past week Logan's vocabulary has exploded. I can't believe the amount of things he is saying now! He can say puppies, diamond, circle, Chinese (in reference to our wonderful Chinese food that we ate e other night!), leaves, shells, and he can finally say Gavin! It's almost like he just woke up one day and said alright I'll start talking a lot more now. Gavin also been saying a lot of those words but it happened more gradually than Logan's. The boys are getting very excited for their birthday party and we talk about it every day. They like to know who is going to be at their party and they list off their guests. I still can't believe they are going to be two in a week and a half!
Rylynn is still doing really well. She has started eating between 4 and 6 ounces every feeding and will be outgrowing her newborn clothes any day. I love that she is becoming more and more alert every day. Usually she is pretty awake when the boys nap and then for a few hours after they go to bed. It's nice to be able to spend some individual time with her.
Our house is coming along nicely. Our new bathtub was installed on Friday and this week they are going to start ripping out Sheetrock. After the Sheetrock is done, there really isn't much besides carpet and paint that needs to get done! I'm getting so anxious to move it.
