Slowly, but surely our apartment is coming back together. The bottom half of almost all of our walls had to be cut off and the sheet rock had to be replaced. By tomorrow the sheet rock should be done, which means we can paint Friday, carpet this weekend and hopefully move back in on Monday. I can't wait to be back in our own space, in my own bed and have cribs for Gavin and Logan.
The boys have been struggling a bit this week and I'm sure it's due to being in a different place. They are really difficult to put down for naps and have been harassing Bowser non stop. Part of the issue is that the bed we are sleeping in is just a mattress on the floor so they can escape easily. They can also get to Bowser any time that they want which is really starting to annoye him.
We do have a few updates that don't include our soaked apartment. Both boys shake their head when someone says "no no." Logan gives kisses, very slobbery kisses but they are very cute. Gavin has a scratch and a slight black eye from being too over confident and face planting into an ottoman while walking.
Today we got a wonderful package in the mail from my June Twin Moms. They sent Gavin and Logan a Little People Noah's Ark toy to replace some of their toys that we had to throw out. When I read the card, I immediately started crying and as soon as I saw the Noah's Ark, I started laughing. They picked out a perfect gift that the boys will play with for many years.

The Flood of 2012
First of all, I'm glad that it has not rained for 40 days and 40 nights. But from 6:00pm on Tuesday to 6:00pm on Wednesday we got 9 inches of rain. The sewer system could not keep up, rivers over flowed, sink holes appeared, basements flooded and millions of dollars of damaged was caused.
We are okay, safe, warm and dry. However, our apartment has seen dryer days. At first we thought just Gavin and Logan's room was going to flood. But then it spread to our bedroom, the living room and the kitchen. Our carpet is destroyed along with two computers, a dresser, two ottomans, playmats, some of the boys' toys, their cribs, and two shelving units.
It could have been worse, we could have had tons of water standing in our apartment but thanks to Galen and his dad (who stayed up all night) we don't. As of now, we are living in Mike and Adrie's room for a few days. A professional cleaning crew has been called and we are hoping to return to our apartment in a week. We have tons of laundry to wash, tons of stuff to clean and lots of stuff to throw away and replace. Compared to a lot of the people here we got off easy and we are so thankful for that.

No Longer The Babies Of The Family
Watch out world, Gavin and Logan have a cousin!! Baby girl (no name yet) was born 6/15/12 and we couldn't be more excited! The little peanut weighs 6lbs 1oz and is 18.9in long. She is perfect in every way and mom, dad and baby are doing great. The four of us went to visit a few hours after she was born. Baby girl is perfect and adorable. I was able to hold her when we visited, it felt a little strange since she is the youngest baby I've ever held. I didn't get to hold Gavin and Logan for almost 24 hours after they were born.
The thing about baby girl is that she is 12 oz heavier than Gavin who was my "big baby" but I hardly remember him being that small. And Logan was even smaller, it's strange to think about. I really have baby fever now but we will just borrow baby girl a lot. I already can't get enough of her.
I'm excited for Gavin and Logan to have a cousin so close in age, I am excited to watch the three of them grow up. They are going to have great adventures and hopefully be very close. And I'm excited to be a first time aunt to a beautiful little girl.
Congrats Mike and Adrie, welcome to the crazy, fun, exciting, rewarding ride of parenthood. We love you and baby girl.

-walking like a rockstar (Gavin)
-wearing 12 month clothes
-still wearing some 9 month clothes (skinny little waists!)
-saying Bowser (Gavin)
-eating grass (Logan)
-playing the pick up game, they drop something, we pick it up, they drop something, we pick it up...
-eating dandelions (Gavin)
-biting people
-lifting hands in the air when someone says "so big!"
-pulling refrigerator magnets off the fridge
-chewing on the garbage can (Gavin)
-opening the cupboard and pulling cans off shelves
-trying to force feed Bowser his dog food (Logan)
-laughing when the other one laughs
