Night Night
Tonight, after putting the boys to bed, they spent about a half hour talking and laughing with each other, so I decided to go in and intervene. Of course they were both standing up in their cribs but as soon as I walked in, they both put their little fingers to their lips and said "shhhh, shhhh, night night." Gavin then whispered "more" and held up his bottle. Logan whispered "baby shhh." I filled up their bottles and went to re tuck them in, as I was saying good night, they both told me again "shhh night night."

More Big News
Galen and I have decided on a name for baby girl. We had talked about keeping her name a secret until she is born, but we know a few other people due around the same time as me and wanted to claim the name first. Plus I want to get shirts ordered for all three kids ASAP! So, baby girl's first name will be Rylynn (pronounced Rye-Lynn) and her middle name will be Amanda. We can't wait to meet her!!
In other news, both boys are sick with runny noses and coughs. Of course we have family pictures tomorrow, hopefully it goes better than I'm anticipating. Gavin and Logan are still learning new words every day, some recent additions and new favorites are collar, dollar, money, Charlie, and pink. Logan is bound and determined to figure out how to dress himself, so far he can get pants on without needing too much help. Although he did face plant into the floor the other day while trying to pull up his pants. Gavin is more interested in figuring out how the buttons and zippers on his clothes work. They have also started wrestling but in a playful manor, thank goodness. I never get sick of watching them interact. They have such a unique bond.

Big Changes!!
We have some very exciting news, we put an offer on a house on Tuesday night and found out this afternoon that the sellers have accepted our offer!!! We are beyond thrilled and excited. This house is in a good neighborhood, with really good schools, has two bathrooms, three bedrooms, a two car garage and a fenced in backyard. Seriously, we couldn't ask for much more. It needs a little bit of work but most of the work is cosmetic, which we will take our time doing this summer and hopefully move in by August.
I can't wait for us to have more space and to decorate bedrooms for the kids. And the backyard is going to be amazing. As much as I love our current backyard, it will be nice to have a fence. I'm already planning on having a lot of backyard BBQ's. Our closing date is set for April 19th, we just need to hope and pray that everything goes smoothly with the home inspection, appraisal and closing!

New Things!
Just when I think that Gavin and Logan can't learn things any faster, they surprise me and come up with new words to say. They are now saying, couch, coat, pub, house, work, church, blanket, pillow, giraffe, bear, monkey, puppy and cat. Recently they have also started assigning owner ship to things, for example they point to the chair I always sit at in the kitchen and say "mama's" and then they point to Galen's and say "dada's." They've also learned a few new tricks, rolling their sleeves up when asked, putting on their boots and drinking out of regular cups at meal times! It's hard to believe how independent they are becoming.
The other night I asked Logan what we should name the baby and his response was "baby no." When I asked Gavin, his response was "choo choo." While both are cute suggestions, I don't think that we will be adding those to the list. The boys are doing really well with all of the baby gear that is slowly invading their space in the living room, they like to point out that the bouncy seat and the swing is the baby's. And Logan likes to go over to the pack and play and steal stuffed animals and bring them to me to tell me that they are the babies.
Their vacuum cleaner obsession has become even more intense. I think we ended up vacuuming four times last week, the plus side is that our floors are the cleanest they have ever been. When Logan gets up in the morning he likes to head for the closet where the vacuum is kept. Both boys will occasionally stand at the baby gate to the hallway and cry for the vacuum. Logan says "guck" and Gavin says "hook." The other night when the vacuum was out, Logan had the furniture attachments hooked up and was vacuuming the ottoman. Oh, he also knows how to turn on and off the vacuum using only his foot. Gavin thought it was pretty funny to chase Bowser around with the furniture attachments because Bowser hates the vacuum and barks and growls at it.
We have still been working on walking to the car and into stores without using the stroller. They are doing a great job. Logan has developed a little fear of the ice so he usually will stop and say "up" when he doesn't feel comfortable walking anymore. Gavin takes really small little steps when he is on the ice and knows to go very slow. Every Wednesday when we go to Beth's house, one of them will wait patiently on the sidewalk while I get his brother out of the car and then they walk up the steps to get inside.
I'm really getting anxious for spring and summer to get here. It will be nice not to have to put on a bunch of snow gear everytime we go out. And I think that the boys will love spending time outside this summer. Last summer they liked being outside but I think this year will be the year they really start to get into their water table and climber that are in the backyard. Plus they are getting some great outdoor toys for their birthday!
