It's Been A Month...

Yikes, it's been a month since my last update, I blame work, school starting for Galen and my three kids for the lack of updates.  It's always on my list of things to do but time slips away from me after they go to bed.  This is going to be a short update and hopefully a longer on will be posted on Sunday.

Rylynn is now six months old and changing so quickly!  She loves to grab things with her hands, including her brothers' hair and the dog's fur.  It's become impossible to try and accomplish anything while holding her because she wants everything that is in your hands.  She started on baby food and so far has had; peas, sweet potatoes, applesauce and carrots.  Gavin and Logan get really excited when she eats and they want to try whatever she is having.  The other night both of them each ate a jar of sweet potatoes.

Rylynn also has her first tooth and is working on a few more, she is always a drooling mess!  The tooth is on the bottom and can be seen and felt.  She is still a pretty horrible napper but sleeps well at night.  Last week I actually got her to nap with me for two hours, it was very nice.  She is also a very vocal girl and babbles quite a bit.  Gavin and Logan like to say that she is "talking again."  Her smile is still huge and her laugh is as contagious as ever.  The boys really enjoy trying to get her to laugh.  Currently, she is wearing size 3 diapers and just switched over to 9 month clothing.  Her favorite toy is her doll and in close second place are chilled teething rings.  She can roll over, but she really doesn't like to and she still isn't a fan of tummy time.  Rylynn has discovered how to jump up and down in her bouncy seat and it has become a good activity to keep her distracted.  She also really likes to watch her brothers play.  Every time that they run she bounces up and down and starts giggling.

Gavin and Logan are doing so well.  They actually speak in sentences now and I love that they are able to communicate so well with us.  Of course, we still have our meltdowns, but for the most part we know what they want.  I also love their pronunciation of things and they way that they think things are said.  For example, Gavin calls apple cider, apple spider and Logan calls pot roast, pop roast. I'm amazed at how well their memories have become.  They remember the littlest details and bring them up at random times.  We have been having a few issues with nap time lately, Gavin likes to get out of his bed and climb into Logan's.  But we have been having chats about staying in bed and going to sleep right away.  Hopefully it does the trick.

Last weekend we went to the pumpkin patch and the apple orchard (or the apple porch as Gavin called it.)  They got to pet and feed goats and cows, which they really loved.  They kept saying that the animals were cute.  Each kid got a pumpkin and Gavin and Logan got to ride on a few rides.  The first one they went on, Logan looked really embarrassed the whole time and Gavin looked annoyed.  By the time they got to the second ride they looked like they were having a better time.  At the apple orchard they got to go on a little tractor ride, it was so cute to see them sitting next to each other.  They also got to get some apples and apple spider.

That's all I have for now but here are some pictures from this summer and the beginning of fall.  It only took three hours the other night to upload and edit the 800 pictures I had taken since May...
