4 Months!

I can't believe that tomorrow Gavin and Logan will be four months old.  It seems like just yesterday we were setting our alarms to wake up and feed them every three hours, and now we got the okay to start cereal.  They had their 4 month check up today and their doctor is still impressed with how well they are doing, how healthy they look and how big they are getting!  Gavin is 26 in long and in the 87th percentile for height, he is going to be tall like his dad.  He weighs 14lbs 3oz which is a big difference from 5lbs 5oz at birth.  Logan is 25in long, which is the 58th percentile for height and we are guessing he will be tall too.  He weighs 13lbs 12oz.  Now I know why my entire body hurts after I carry them around in their carseats.

They also got shots today and it went pretty well.  We gave them bottles as soon as they finished and that seemed to calm them down, plus it put them to sleep.  Gavin managed to avoid poking himself in the knee with the needle this time, which is always a plus.  Logan decided that he would like to smile and coo while drinking one of the medications and wound up with a decent amount of it on his chin.  Both boys only cried for about a minute when the shots were done, but they are certainly becoming loud when they cry.

In the past week both boys have really improved on holding their heads up.  Gavin is perfectly fine with tummy time now that he can hold his head up and look around.  He can last a pretty long time.  Logan still doesn't like tummy time but will look around and hold his head up if he is propped up on a pillow.  We also got a few giggles out of them this past week and I'm really looking forward to when they start to laugh!

The adjustment with Galen going back to school is going pretty well so far.  We split alternate nights for getting up with the babies.  Whenever it's Galen's turn they seem to wake up right when he has to get up for class and I end up getting up anyways.  And when it's my turn Logan usually wakes up at 4 or 5am.  The other night they both slept for 9.5 hours and it was wonderful.  Other than that, things are going well.  I'm managing to stay busy during the day and have been taking the boys to visit various people.

Happy half way to St. Patty's Day!!  Love, Logan and Gavin
