October Update

So far, October has not been kind to us.  Logan and Gavin are still sick, runny noses, coughs, fevers and they are still working on getting their molars.  Sleep has been rare and when it occurs, it's interrupted.  I'm hoping and praying that they feel better soon and that these dang teeth finally come in!

Other than the sickness, they are both doing well.  They can find their ears, nose, mouth, eyes, bellybutton, feet and butts when asked.  If we ask them to go get something, like a diaper or their cups, they will get it.  Or they will shake their heads no and refuse to go get it.  As far as vocabulary goes, they have learned a lot of new words but they both say the same things, ears, baby, outside, more, dad, mom, Bowser,  bye bye, bottle and a few more.  We are still working on animal sounds.  They are both experiencing a little separation anxiety which makes leaving the room difficult.  Perhaps the cutest thing they are doing, is giving each other kisses and hugs when we ask.  Occasionally, we can get them to mutually agree on hugging or kissing but usually one wants to give hugs or kisses and the other wants no part of it.

Gavin is still the more even tempered child but he can certainly throw a tantrum if something gets taken away.  He loves to carry around the remote and take out the batteries.  He also loves to give Bowser hugs and kisses, he will even grab Bowser's snout and make kissing noises.  Currently, his new favorite things are walking backwards and spinning in circles.  He also really likes to bite when he is upset and Logan has a few marks and bruises to prove that.

Logan is our wild child and is rather sassy.  He will scream "ma ma ma ma ma" in the sassiest little voice ever and gets a look on his face that says you better pay attention to me now!  He has a little English accent when he says more and loves to let Bowser outside.  Logan loves to knock down block towers and often won't let us stack past three or four blocks before he knocks them down.  If we tell him no, he quickly gives us a kiss to make it better, or just to remind us how cute he can be.
