Happy First Birthday Rylynn!

Our little April Fools baby turned one today!  I'm not entirely sure how a year has already passed.  It seems like not too long ago I was at my OB's appointment, getting sent to labor and delivery and being convinced that I would just be sent home.  But no, Miss Rylynn had other plans and April 1st seemed like the perfect birthday to her.  The day of her birth is kind of a blur, she was born at 1:11pm, screaming and perfectly cute.  And still a girl, I even asked the doctors right away.  I was a little nervous all of our ultrasounds were wrong.  The best part of that day was being able to hold her so soon after she was born.  She seemed so tiny, even though she was our biggest baby. 

Things have certainly changed in twelve short months.  Rylynn now weighs 23lbs 6oz, up from 6lbs 1oz at birth and is 29in long, up from 19in at birth.  She wears size four diapers, the same as her brothers, and size 12 month clothing.  Her favorite foods are pretty much anything and everything but she really likes scrambled eggs and yogurt, and whatever she can steal from her brothers.  Right now, she has seven teeth and is working on number eight.  She can walk around so well, she doesn't crawl anymore and frequently impresses people with how well she walks.  Her favorite activities include dancing, unfolding laundry, spilling the dog's water, stealing her brothers toys, climbing up the stairs and playing tug-o-war with Bowser.  She can say momma and more, she also waves bye-bye, claps and does so big!  She is happy, smiley, full of laughter, growls and love.

We spent her first birthday at home, playing, opening presents and eating pink cupcakes.  Gavin and Logan had a blast helping her open the gifts that they picked out for her.  They got her a ball popper, which they call a vacuum and a noise machine for her bedroom.  She also got a doll, pink silverware and some dishes.  We ended the night by watching Frozen and all three kids going to bed early.  On Sunday, we will have a big party for her.
